We welcome all those seeking a service of Thanksgiving for the birth of their child or to explore Baptism, whether for themselves or their child(ren). We offer support from the beginning of their journey of faith, celebration of becoming part of God’s family and commitment to following and belonging to Jesus.
Weddings, Blessings and Thanksgiving

As they have for centuries, we would be delighted for your wedding, a blessing of your marriage or a Thanksgiving for Marriage service with a renewal of vows to take place in one of our church buildings. We will work with you to make sure that it is personal, memorable, meaningful, beautiful and a sacred celebration.
Funerals and Services of Thanksgiving

Anyone can have a Christian funeral. This can take place in one of our church buildings, followed or preceded by a service at a crematorium or at a graveside, or entirely at a crematorium or graveside. Burials can take place in an existing family grave with space in any of our churchyards or elsewhere or a new grave in Hindley churchyard or elsewhere. A service of Thanksgiving can take place when the funeral has taken place elsewhere. You will be supported in making whatever decisions are right for you and your family and to make sure that the service is personalised to best celebrate them and reflect their and your wishes.
Burial of Ashes
​These are possible in existing family graves with space, and in the Gardens of Remembrance at both St. Peter’s, Bywell and St. George’s, Mickley.
