ADVENT & CHRISTMAS

Sunday 4th December, 4pm

St Johns: Christingle Service

Come along with all the family to our Christingle service

as we explore the meaning of the Christian story, make a Christingle and support the work of the Children’s Society. Followed by Christmas tree lighting in the garden, carol singing, mince pies and mulled wine. Please note there will be a collection at this service for the Children’s Society

 

The Children’s Society is a national charity working to transform the hopes and happiness of young people facing abuse, exploitation and neglect. They support them through their most serious life challenges and they campaign tirelessly for the big social changes that will improve the lives of those who need hope most. The Children’s Society has been doing this for 140 years and are pledged to work to help build a society where hope is alive in every child. St Johns: Holy Communion followed by Christmas Tea

Everyone is welcome to this service but it is especially suitable for those who might struggle to get to church on Christmas Day.

Thursday 22nd December, 7.30pm

St Peters: Nine Lessons & Carols by Candlelight  

Come and join us as we retell the Christmas story through Scripture readings and carols, followed by mince pies and mulled wine. Don’t forget to bring a torch!

Saturday 24th December, 4pm

St Georges: Family Service  

for Christmas Eve. Come along with all the family as we retell the Christmas story in an interactive way for children of all ages.

Saturday 24th December, 4pm 

St Peter's: Family Crib Service

Come along and join the fun as we retell the story of Christmas with help from the youngest members of the family who are invited to dress up as characters in the story. Just turn up in plenty of time – we have lots of costumes or come with your own.
